* America West B737-200 N183AW [22650] flew last revenue service as HP707 LAX-PHX on 23Oct-2003. Noted stored on the maintenance ramp at Phoenix on 27Oct-2003 minus titles and tail logo. Ferried PHX-MHV on 31Oct-2003 as N183AW.

* Last week I reported an Allegiant MD-80 at Phoenix, which chartered the Northern Arizona University football team. I incorrectly reported the registration of N860GA - it was actually N890GA. N890GA is still showing as reserved on the FAA website, with a previous ID of N33817.

* Ex-USAirways B737-200 N249US [22756], previously stored at Mojave, has been purchased by Aviacsa.

* Ex-Hawaiian DC-10-30 N140AA [46712], previously stored at Mojave, was painted for and delivered to Ghana Airways. It ferried MHV-BWI on 24Oct-2003.

* Ex-UPS B727-200s N211UP [21700] and N212UP [21392], currently stored at Roswell, have been sold to Transmile (Malaysia).

* Ex-Rio Sul B737-500 PT-SSM [25191], currently stored at Goodyear, has been leased to Skyeurope.

* Ex-JAL MD-11 JA8588 [48579] ferried NRT-TUS-GYR on 27Oct-2003 for conversion/delivery to UPS.

* Cebu Pacific DC-9-32 RP-C1546 [48133], previously N602ME and stored at Mojave, was delivered MHV-BFI and onward on 07Oct-2003.

* Ex-Metrojet B737-200s N270AU [22882], N276AU [22888], and N283AU [23116], have been purchased by Air Philippines. I have N270AU and N276AU recorded as stored Mojave, and N283AU at Tucson. Any updates to their status would be appreciated.

* Ex-Iberia B757-200 EC-FXV [26241], currently at Goodyear, has been leased to Hola Airlines (Spain). The aircraft was last seen at Goodyear on 06Sep-2003, any updates are appreciated.

* Ex-Delta B727-200 N525DA [21585], previously stored at Victorville, has been leased to Mandala Airlines.

* Earlier this week, Mesa Airlines made an offer to acquire Atlantic Coast Airlines for about $512m. The offer is still being considered by ACA.

* Ex-United B737-200s N996UA [22456] and N997UA [22457], currently at Tucson, have been painted for Space World Airlines (Nigeria) and have been seen with new registrations 5N-BGA and 5N-BGB. It is unknown whether the registrations fall in order with the C/Ns.

Ref my previous CAN, sorry but A/C N907AW 757 flew one extra day in the Sun's colors due to Hurricane Isabel and maint on our 757 fleet, so last revenue service in the Sun's colors was HP716 LAS-PHX Sep19-2003 ferried PHX-ROS as HP7818/20SEP for re-paint to standard America West Airlines colors.

* Ex-Lufthansa Cargo B747-200F D-ABZF [23621] (special c/s), currently stored at Marana, has been sold to Air Atlanta Icelandic. The deal also included D-ABZB and D-ABZI.

* Frontier JetExpress service will be operated by Horizon Air CRJ-700s starting in 2004. Tucson is a JetExpress destination.

* America West B757-200 N907AW [22691], currently in the Phoenix Suns special colors, is tentatively planned to be ferried PHX-ROW on 19Sep-2003 for painting into the normal America West colors.
