* Shaheen Air B737-200 N224JT [21666, former Canjet C-FHCJ], previously stored at Tucson, ferried TUS-YQT and eastward on 29Jun-2006 on delivery. The aircraft was noted wearing AP-BHG under the stickered US registration.

* Ex-America West B737-300 N323AW [23684], stored at Goodyear, has been re-registered VH-INU in advance of delivery to Air Nauru. It was last noted still wearing a basic America West livery with no titles or logos.

* All-white DHC-8 C-GAAC [047] arrived at Phoenix on 22Jun-2006 and parked at the Mesa Airlines hangar. Noted 30Jun-2006 wearing new registration of N801LR, still all white.

* Ex-Tower Air B747-121 N617FF [19650, l/n 24!], stored at Marana, made a test flight on 14Jun-2006 prior to delivery to its new operator, Logistic Air. The aircraft was previously used by Evergreen as a static testbed for the tank system of the Supertanker 747.

* The last go! CRJ-200, N651BR [7426], departed Phoenix on 16Jun-2006 to HNL on delivery. Five are now in service.

* National Science Foundation C-130 N130AR [former 162382] visited Marana this week for light maintenance. It arrived on 12Jun-2006 from BJC, departing on 15Jun-2006 back to BJC.

* Ex-Delta MD-11 N807DE [48748], previously stored at Goodyear, ferried GYR-LAX-HNL-GUM-SIN on 27May-2006 to be converted to freighter for FedEx.

* Freedom Air (Mesa) ERJ-145 N838MJ [145384] was painted all white at Goodyear and ferried GYR-PHX-AUS-MCO on 31May-2006. Photo posted at:

* Sun Country B737-800 N806SY [28215] is the second aircraft in their fleet to receive blended winglets installed at Evergreen Air Center in Marana. N806SY returned to service on 06May-2006.

* Ex-Thai MD-11 HS-TMG [48451] has been re-registered N257UP and was ferried to Roswell on 07May-2006 for pre-delivery preparation. Three other ex-Thai MD-11s will follow: HS-TMD [48416], HS-TME [48417], and HS-TMF [48418].

* Vision Airlines brought Dornier 328 N328MX [3071] and Citation 650 N527CP [650-0199] to Phoenix/Williams-Gateway on 10Mar-2006 for a welcoming event held by the airport. Vision intends to start scheduled air service between IWA-VGT on 06Apr-2006 using the Do328. Photos of the aircraft are posted on Cactus Wings.

* US Airways Fleet Update-

B733 N174AW [23633] Stored at Phoenix in full livery since at least 12Mar. Returned to lessor and ferried to Goodyear 23Mar-2006.

A320 N645AW [0238] LRF in America West livery was HP528 IAH-PHX 12Mar-2006. Returned to lessor and ferried to Macon on 12Mar-2006.

A320 N646AW [0271] LRF in America West livery was HP656 IND-PHX on 07Mar-2006. Returned to lessor and ferried to Macon on 10Mar-2006.

* Ex-Estafeta B737-210C [20917], currently stored at Tucson, has been sold to Aloha Airlines. It was noted still stored at Hamilton Aerospace's ramp at Tucson on 22Mar-2006.

* Ex-MyTravel B757-200 G-RJGR [22917], currently stored at Marana, has been sold to be parted out. Sister ship G-PIDS [22195] was also bought for parting out.

* Jetstream 32s N3126 [863] and N896CP [896], have been sold for use by Quick Air. Ex-Atlantic Coast Jetstream 32s N476UE [884] and N491UE [911] have been sold to Transmandu (Venezuela). All were previously stored at Kingman, have been cancelled from the US register, and are assumed to have left Kingman.

* Davis-Monthan Air Force Base hosted 'Hawgsmoke 2006', a gathering of A-10 Warthog pilots and crews to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the A-10. Over 40 visiting A-10 aircraft arrived on 22Mar-2006 in addition to those based at D-M. Flight, bombing, and gunnery competitions were held; along with static displays, a barbeque, and golf tournament for the flight crews. Photos of some of the aircraft will be posted next week on Cactus Wings.
