Cactus Wings Aircraft Report

* Southwest B737-700 N454WN [29851] arrived at Phoenix on delivery. It arrived without winglets on 29Mar-2004 as SWA5001 BFI-PHX.

* Mesa Airlines/America West Express CRJ-900 N917FJ [15017] arrived at Phoenix on delivery on 26Mar-2004. DHC-8 N987HA [425] also arrived on 26Mar-2004 on delivery.

* US Dept of Homeland Security P-3B Orion N423SK [LC-5220] arrived at Phoenix on 29Mar-2004 and was noted parked on the west cargo ramp until sometime on 31Mar.

* The 2004 Thunderbird Balloon and Air Classic was held 26-28Mar-2004 at Glendale Municipal Airport (GEU). Photos have been posted in the photos section of Cactus Wings. Aircraft noted at the event:

Sadly, MiG 17 N508M, which was to be featured as part of the classic jet performances, crashed enroute to the airshow on 25Mar-2004. The crash happened after departing Roswell, NM. The pilot was killed in the accident.

23219 N151AW After being stored at Goodyear, AZ since May15-2003 it was out on the runway today for engine run, was towed back to the hangar area. Still in basic America West Airlines colors, no titles/logo

Full report from Goodyear wilfo shortly. But all Airbuses from US Airways are gone or inside a hanagr. 119 confimred aircraft seen today.
