Aero Commander 680FL N7UP C/N: 1349-29 Commnader Northwest Ltd on charter to US Forrest Service. Crashed Jul21-2005 on take-off from Las Vegas North. It was goind to check bush fires started by lightning.The nose broke off at the impact just in front of the wings, both engines were running after the crash! The pilot and both passengers survived the crash.

* USAF B-36J Peacemaker 52-2827 [383], previously undergoing restoration at Ft Worth, Texas, was disassembled and shipped by truck to Pima Air & Space Museum, Tucson. The forward fuselage section was the first to arrive and is due to the museum on 23Jul-2005.

* Ex-Jetsgo MD-83 C-GKLE [49943], previously stored at Victorville, was re-registered N943MT and departed Victorville for San Antonio, TX on 22Jul-2005.

* Ex-World DC-10-30 N541SA [46541], previously stored at Goodyear, departed for Nimes via Phoenix on 17Jul-2005. Cancelled from the US register on 20Jul-2005 exported to Uganda.

* Ex-Virgin Atlantic B747-219(B) N701TA [22791, formerly G-VIBE], previously stored at Mojave, departed for San Antonio on delivery to Transaero Airlines (Russia) on 21Jul-2005 after a failed attempt on 20Jul-2005. Aircraft has been assigned VP-BQE when delivered to Transaero.

* Ex-Lufthansa B747-230Fs D-ABYZ [23286] and D-ABZA [23287], both previously stored at Marana, have been sold to Evergreen Int'l Airlines. D-ABYZ was re-registered N487EV and departed Marana for New York/JFK on 20Jul-2005. D-ABZA has been re-registered N488EV but apparently has not departed Marana yet.

* Maxjet B767-238 N770WD [23306], painted into the airline's full livery, has been airtesting at Marana this past week and will apparently be the first aircraft for proving flights.

* Ex-Arrow Air DC-8-62F N8974U [46110], previously stored at Roswell, was sold to African Int'l Airways, re-registered 3D-AJG, and ferried ROW-SEN on 14Jul-2005 still wearing a partial Arrow c/s.
