* Ex-Varig MD-11 PP-VPJ [48404] arrived at Marana 21Apr-2005 for pre-delivery checks prior to service with UPS. Re-registered N255UP and ferried MZJ-HNL-SIN on 11May-2005, wearing a basic Varig livery with no titles. Ex-Varig MD-11 PP-VPK [48405] arrived at Marana 16May-2005 for pre-delivery checks and has been re-registered N256UP.
* Ameriquest Mortgage Corporation's "Soaring Dreams" airship [registration unknown] was at Phoenix/Williams-Gateway during the week of 02May-2005 in transit eastbound as part of its USA tour. The airship and information can be viewed at:

* 29 ex-American F-100s, currently stored at Mojave, have been sold to Synergy Aerospace to be operated by its subsidiary airlines in South America (Avianca, Ocean Air, and Wayra).
* Phoenix-based America West agreed to merge with US Airways, headquarters will be in Tempe, AZ, brand name will remain US Airways.
* Ex-Fly Air B757-200s N241CV [24122] and N136CV [24136], currently stored at Goodyear, have been sold to Channel Express, UK for operation by Jet2.
